Virtual thyroid care for women across Ontario
If you’ve been feeling dismissed, rushed, or told everything looks normal even when you don’t feel like yourself, take a breath.
You’re not imagining your symptoms. You’re not overreacting.
You’re a woman who knows her body better than anyone else, and you deserve care that listens, investigates, and explains what’s really going on.
I help women uncover what is actually driving their symptoms and build a personalized plan that supports energy, fertility, metabolism, mood, and long-term thyroid function.
Where is the Thyroid?
Your thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland in your neck. It influences almost every system in your body. Even small changes can create big shifts in how you feel.

Thyroid Problems Are Common
• 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime
• Many more sit in the grey zone for years before anyone notices
• Symptoms often show up long before TSH changes
• Subclinical hypothyroidism is found in up to 43% of women with infertility
• Hashimoto’s is the cause of about 85% of all hypothyroidism cases
Symptoms of Hypothyroidism
Symptoms of hypothyroidism can affect energy, metabolism, mood, cycles, fertility, and weight.
These are the most common thyroid symptoms I see in practice:
-
fatigue or energy crashes
-
trouble losing weight
-
feeling cold often
-
hair shedding
-
brain fog
-
anxiety or feeling wired
-
sleep changes
-
PMS or irregular cycles
-
constipation
-
dry skin
Why Thyroid Issues Get Missed
-
TSH testing alone doesn’t show how the thyroid is working
-
Normal T4 hormone doesn’t guarantee good conversion
-
Many women have symptoms long before labs change
-
Stress and cortisol interfere with activation
-
Low ferritin, vitamin D or B12 can mimic thyroid issues
-
Hashimoto’s is often missed because antibodies are not tested
Complete Thyroid Blood Work Panel
A full thyroid panel shows how well your thyroid produces hormone, how much converts into active T3, and whether autoimmunity is present.
Tests to have:
-
TSH, Free T4, Free T3
-
Reverse T3
-
Anti-TPO
-
Anti-TG
Who I Help
I support women who are diagnosed, undiagnosed, or living with symptoms that do not match their thyroid lab results.
My Approach:
A Whole-Body, Root-Cause Thyroid Investigation
Your thyroid doesn’t work in isolation. Stress, inflammation, nutrient status, gut health, and immune activity all influence how thyroid hormones are made, converted, and used.
My approach blends in-depth testing with a naturopathic, whole-body lens so you can understand why you feel the way you do.
What We Look For
We look at the key systems that affect thyroid hormone production, conversion, and activation so you can understand why you feel the way you do.
Nutrients
Is ferritin high enough to activate thyroid
Production
Is your thyroid making enough hormone?
Stress
Is cortisol slowing conversion?
Immune
Are antibodies elevated or fluctuating?
Conversion
Are you turning T4 into active T3?
No two people are the same.
Once we know your root pattern, your plan becomes clear and personalized.
Personalized Thyroid Treatment Plan
Your plan is built around the systems that influence your individual thyroid hormone production, conversion and function.
-
Herbal medicine: support how your thyroid produces and converts hormones
-
Evidence based supplements: to help calm elevated antibodies in both Graves and Hashimoto’s
-
Nutrient status: your thyroid needs the right building blocks like iron, vitamin D, zinc, iodine, and selenium to function well
-
Diet and lifestyle: identifying food reactions to improving blood sugar and metabolism

The Transformation
This isn’t just about fixing thyroid numbers. It’s about restoring a life that feels like your own.
The real transformation begins when you stop asking, why do I still feel off?” and start feeling grounded, clear, and confident in your body again.
Most women who walk through this process say:
-
Their brain fog has lifted. They can think clearly again.
-
They’re no longer dragging through the day. Energy feels sustainable.
-
Anxiety quiets. The nervous system settles.
-
They finally understand their body and labs—instead of fearing them.
-
They trust themselves again. They stop outsourcing every answer.
-
It’s not just relief—it’s reconnection.
-
By the end of our work together, you won’t just have a plan. You’ll have proof that your body can come back into balance. And that your healing doesn’t have to be hard—just aligned.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I still have symptoms when my TSH is normal?
A normal TSH alone does not mean your thyroid system is working well. We look at free T4, free T3, reverse T3, antibodies, nutrients, stress and inflammation to see what your body is actually doing.
Can you help if I already take medication, but still feel symptoms?
Yes. Many women still feel tired, cold, foggy or unlike themselves even on medication. This often means there are issues with converting your medication to the active thyroid hormone, nutrients, blood sugar, stress or inflammation that medication by itself does not fix.
Could this still be my thyroid, if antibodies are negative?
Yes. You can have thyroid related symptoms without positive antibodies. Conversion problems, low nutrients, chronic stress or other hormone patterns can still affect how thyroid hormone works in your cells.
What is the difference between Hypothyroidism & Hashimoto's
Hypothyroidism means your thyroid hormone is low. Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune condition where your immune system attacks the thyroid. Hashimoto’s often leads to hypothyroidism over time, but you can have symptoms before labs fully change.
Do you treat Hashimoto's
Yes. Hashimoto’s is the most common cause of low thyroid function in women. We focus on immune regulation, inflammation, and long-term thyroid support. It is absolutely crucial that thyroid antibody tests are run.
What Thyroid tests do you use?
I use a full panel: TSH, Free T4, Free T3, reverse T3, anti-TPO and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies. Plus key markers like ferritin, B12, Vitamin D, blood sugar, and inflammation to see the full picture.
What is thyroid hormone conversion?
Your thyroid mostly makes T4. Your cells need T3. Conversion is the process of turning T4 into active T3. If conversion is slow, you can feel hypothyroid even when TSH and T4 look normal. Checking free T3 and reverse T3 helps us see this.
Can low iron / ferritin make thyroid symptoms worser?
Yes. Low ferritin can make it harder to produce and activate thyroid hormone. Fatigue, hair loss, feeling cold and brain fog are often linked to low iron stores, even when your basic iron or hemoglobin looks normal.
Can you help if I am trying to get pregnant or planning pregnancy?
Absolutely. Thyroid hormones affect ovulation, implantation and early pregnancy. I work on getting your thyroid, nutrients and blood sugar into an optimal range before conception to support fertility and lower miscarriage risk.
How does stress affect the thyroid?
Chronic stress and high cortisol can slow conversion of T4 to T3, raise reverse T3 and worsen inflammation. This can leave you feeling tired and wired at the same time. Supporting your stress response is part of how we help your thyroid work better.
